SOPs developed by EPP partners are available on our website. Find them here, with more to come in the next few weeks.

The SOPs cover a wide range of methods including genome engineering, modification of bacterial growth conditions and molecular biology techniques. Specialised methods have been developed such as the use of oxygen gradients to adapt wild-type and the KT2440 strain of P. putida to lower oxygen levels, and performing a batch cultivation of P. putida KT2440 in a lab-scale bio-reactor.

At this point we would like to feature two EPP-related articles that were published early this year:
  • Pham, Nhung et al. "Consistency, Inconsistency, and Ambiguity of Metabolite Names in Biochemical Databases Used for Genome-Scale Metabolic Modelling." Metabolites 9.2 (2019): 28. https://doi.org/10.3390/metabo9020028

Immerse yourself in the world of film, art, design and synthetic biology. Get inspired by artists’ and designers’ perspectives on recent developments in the (re)design of biological systems. Watch wonderful and funny BIO·FICTION art videos, movies and documentaries, listen to talks about Bioart, Science Fiction novels and Do-It-Together Biology.

EmPowerPutida is glad contributing to this exciting festival. Join us from October 5 - 6 at Wageningen University. SynCity Days Wageningen UR
