2 more impressive contributions from EPP.
Check these highly interesting publications from
Enrique Asin García on "Genetic Safeguards and Safety-by-design" https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0167779920301104
and Christos Batianis on CRISPRi for P. putida https://sfamjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/1751-7915.13533?af=R.
Proud to highlight a new publication in the wake of EPP:
Kim, J., Goñi-Moreno, A., Calles, B., and de Lorenzo, V. (2019). Spatial organization of the gene expression hardware in Pseudomonas putida. Environ Microbiol (In Press)

SOPs developed by EPP partners are available on our website. Find them here, with more to come in the next few weeks.
The SOPs cover a wide range of methods including genome engineering, modification of bacterial growth conditions and molecular biology techniques. Specialised methods have been developed such as the use of oxygen gradients to adapt wild-type and the KT2440 strain of P. putida to lower oxygen levels, and performing a batch cultivation of P. putida KT2440 in a lab-scale bio-reactor.
Congratulations to our partner Dr. Ian Fotheringham of Ingenza Ltd on receiving the Charles Tennant Memorial Award!
We are happy to announce EPP's 8th General Assembly meeting and joint workshop on 'Resposible research and innovation' to be held at BASF and in Mannheim, Germany, on April 8-10.
Two of our members of EPP from the ITQB - Cecilia M. Arraiano and Vânia Pobre - have just published this technique in Methods in Enzymology, which can be used also for Pseudomonas putida: https://authors.elsevier.com/b/1Y8Bf_1lc7dESG
The 7th General Assembly of EmPowerPutida is now ongoing in Wageningen, NL. All work packages are presenting their achievements.
Our partner from the University of Stuttgart is representing the EPP project at the 2018 Metabolic Engineering 12 Conference in Munich, Germany. Ongoing #ME12

EmPowerPutida is happy to announce its 6th General Assembly meeting planned to be held in Mallorca on April 25-27.
The EmPower Putida 5th General Assembly meeting is now live in Edinburgh! Great to see everyone back together.
Stay tuned...
Excited about our upcoming EPP project meeting taking place in Edinburgh on November 20-21
